Dr. Grossman received his medical education at the Sackler Medical School of Tel-Aviv University, earning the M.D. degree magna cum laude in 1975. He did his training in Internal Medicine and Hypertension at Chaim Sheba Medical Center and then he worked one year with Prof. Frohlich and Prof. Messerli at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans
on hemodynamic changes in Hypertension. He then moved to the Hypertension section in the National Institute of Health and worked 2 years with Harry Keiser and David Goldstein on the relationship between the sympathetic nervous system and hypertension and pheochromocytoma. On 1997, he was appointed as the head of Internal Medicine Department at the Chaim Sheba Medical Center and since 2003 he also headed the Hypertension Unit. On 2018 he became the chairman of Medicine at the Chaim Sheba Medical Center. Dr. Grossman was the president of the Israeli Society of Hypertension between 2003 and 2005, and is recognized as a hypertension specialist by the European Society of Hypertension. Dr. Grossman wrote more than 250 publications in peer review journals and 20 book chapters in hypertension. Dr. Grossman conducts multiple clinical studies and basic research in hypertension.
At Tel Aviv University, Dr. Grossman became a Professor of Medicine on 2000 and the incumbent of the Hella Gertner Cathedra for research of high blood pressure on 2005. On 2014 he was appointed as the Dean of the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel-Aviv University.
